Born in Athens ( Greece ), I began my studies at Focus School of Photography and Visual Arts before moving in the UK to attend a BA in Photography & Digital Media at ARU ( Cambridge ) in 1998. I had the great pleasure to start my working career at the prestigious agency Magnum Photos. Subsequently I worked at Millennium Images and the Photographic Department of The National Gallery in London, while covering several freelance assignments.
My clients are a mixture of editorial and commercial and my work has been published in newspapers, magazines and as book covers in the UK and abroad. I have participated in group exhibitions, most recently the Access Show at Host Gallery, London in 2008; Young Greek Photographers (part of Athens Photo Festival) in 2005; Birthplaces at Spitz Gallery in London, 2003; Hodge Award Winning Photos at Guardian Newsroom in 2002 and I also had a solo exhibition at the Oxford House in Bethnal Green in 2001.
My Portfolio Bride to be was highly commended at the Observer Hodge Photo Award in 2002 and I achieved 4th place at the Annual west PHOTO Award in 2007.
In 2008 I successfully completed my MA in Photojournalism at the University of Westminster. I am involved in educational photography projects for young people and adults in London as well as teaching at the LSP.
I am available for commissions and assignments worldwide.
